School of Hospitality Industry Day 2018: Future DNA for the New Hospitality
School of Hospitality Industry Day is an annual event where we gather all our esteemed industry partners from hotels, resorts, travel agencies, attractions, banks, retail, events, F&B, wellness, airlines and other service sectors. It is a platform for sharing of ideas as well as discussing hot topics that are related to our sectors. The theme for this year's event is “Future DNA for the New Hospitality”, and we will be looking at trends affecting the hospitality and service sectors in the next 3 to 5 years. Knowing that the disruption and manpower shortage problems are here to stay, we need to recognise where the skill gaps are and what we can do to change “stubborn” mind-sets, in order to keep the existing workforce levelled in skill competencies with these ‘fast and furious’ developments.
